On February 26, 2024, the Medical Science Pillar of EMSA-Ivano-Frankivsk organised a workshop at the Ophthalmology Department of Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University. Six of our international students had the opportunity to attend and witness some cataract surgeries. This allowed them to put what they'd learned into practice. In addition, the students learned basic suturing techniques under the guidance of the teachers from the Ophthalmology Department. The students found this experience very helpful and informative.
Faculty members and students of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University and the Professional Medical College regularly conduct educational sessions in lyceums across Ivano-Frankivsk. On March 5th, an educational talk on "Sexual Hygiene" took place at Lyceum No.7.
From February 24 to March 1, 2024, the Ukrainian Powerlifting Championship took place in Kolomyia. Among the winners was Serhii Kolosovskyi, an assistant at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care.

Last week, a joint meeting of student scientific circles of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology named after Professor I.D. Lanovyi took place at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University. The focal point of discussion was papillomavirus infection.
The scientific department has initiated a series of seminars aimed at familiarizing researchers, educators, students, and all interested individuals with bibliographic databases such as Scopus, Web of Science Core Collection, and Google Scholar, as well as author identifiers and journal metrics.
