German doctors Bernhard Hirt, Carina Kelbsch and Rieka Buchenau operated on a patient with impaired vision. Our students had the opportunity to observe the operation online and learn new techniques.

In addition, interested specialists from other European countries could also watch the operation. Previously, the patient gave her permission to record the operation process.

The doctors said that the woman reported feeling unwell about four weeks ago. During the ophthalmological examination, it was found that the patient had visual impairment.

Medical workers found that visual acuity was reduced by 50% in the left eye.

“We're happy to cooperate with our German colleagues. We are grateful that we have

the opportunity to learn from them the latest technologies. I hope we will have many

more common projects,” Professor, First Vice-Rector Anna Ersteniuk said.
