On November 28, a meeting of the Academic Council of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University took place in the main administrative building of IFNMU. The meeting was chaired by the Acting Rector of the University, Mykola Ostrovskyi.
Mykola Ostrovskyi, the Acting Rector, held a working meeting with the head of the First City Clinical Hospital, Tereza Stefankiv. The purpose of the meeting was to enhance effective and productive cooperation between the medical institution and the university departments.
A Clinical Case Discussion was held in association with EMSA. Siddhant Shukla, a fifth-year medical student, moderated the case, keeping students engaged throughout. Earlier this year, he won a grant to ICDSS in Germany, using his experience to conduct this CCD. Aman Pandey, also a fifth-year medical student, presented the case, and Dr. Dennis, a Cardiology specialist, attended as our clinician.
Over the past few weeks, students of the Professional Medical College have been exploring the streets of Ivano-Frankivsk during excursions, acquainting themselves with the initiative of "Frankivsk, which must be protected." Natalia Vynnyk, a lecturer at the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Philosophy, a candidate of historical sciences, guided the participants through the historical past of the city.
On December 9th at 12 p.m., a charitable event titled "The King" in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will take place at the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Philharmonic located at 3 Lesia Kurbasa Street. The event is organized by student organizations of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University.
Last week, the Department of Disaster Medicine and Military Medicine hosted a session of the student club on military training. During the meeting, participants were acquainted with the fundamental characteristics of explosive devices used in the Russian-Ukrainian war. They also learned about the peculiarities of behavior in case of detecting explosive hazards.
Oksana Zhurakivska, Professor of the Anatomy Department of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University participated in the InFuturum 2023 conference, which took place on November 23-24 in Örebro, Sweden.
On November 14, students of the Pharmaceutical Faculty visited the pharmaceutical enterprise "Galychfarm" in Lviv. The excursion was organized with the support of the Acting Rector Mykola Ostrovskyi, under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmaceutical Management, Drug Technology, and Pharmacognosy Natalia Dubel and Doctor of Philosophy Svitlana Maliuvanchuk.
The meeting of the Regional Council of Ivano-Frankivsk Region on the selection of candidates in the field of medicine for the recognition of professionalism and compassion with the "Order of Saint Panteleimon" took place in the conference hall of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University.
The educational manuals by O.L. Tsymbalista, titled "Antimicrobial Therapy in Pediatrics" and "Orphan Diseases of the Respiratory System in Children" have been released by the "Magnolia" publishing house in Lviv.
