Scientific achievements of Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University in 2022

 

The main direction of scientific activity of IFNMU is "Development of new medical technologies for diagnosis and treatment of the most important human diseases". In 2022 157 scientific research works, 36 initiative research studies, 117 international multicenter randomized studies were carried out.

4 scientific research works were financed from the State Budget of Ukraine:

  • "Complex morpho-functional research and justification of the use of modern technologies for the treatment and prevention of dental diseases" (Department of Dentistry of Postgraduate Education);
  • "The course of infectious diseases on the background of concomitant pathology, combined chronic infections and invasions, correction of treatment" (Department of Infectious Diseases and Epidemiology);
  • "Changes in internal organs in the remote period of the Coronavirus disease, taking into account concomitant pathology" (Department of Ppropaedeutics of Internal Medicine);
  • "Features of the pathomorphogenesis of some organs of the nervous and reproductive systems in case of diabetes and its correction under conditions of chronic stress" (Department of Human Anatomy).

The project of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology passed the competitive selection for implementation in 2023 and received state funding: "Mental and psychosomatic consequences of mental trauma as a result of military operations in Ukraine among the military and civilian population. Issues of diagnosis, differential diagnosis and differential therapy".

The main research activities are being implemented:

  • "Study of the influence of dermatoses on skin functions" (Department of Dermatology and Venereology);
  • "Increasing the effectiveness of the treatment of diseases of the respiratory organs under the influence of exo- and endogenous factors based on the study of their pathogenetic links of development, progression and justification of pharmacological correction" (Departments of Phthisiology and Pulmonology);
  • "Clinical-experimental substantiation of new methods of diagnosis, prevention and orthopedic treatment of dental diseases in the population of Ivano-Frankivsk region", (Department of Dentistry of Postgraduate education).

 

Training of scientific and pedagogical personnel of IFNMU is carried out in the following specialties: 222 – Medicine; 221 – Dentistry; 226 - Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy; 228 – Pediatrics. In terms of the main direction of scientific activity of IFNMU "Development of new medical technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of the most important human diseases", 185 graduates are studying in educational and scientific programs.

IFNMU publishes 5 scientific journals in which university scientists publish the results of their scientific research.

In eleven scientific laboratories, with valid certificates of technical competence of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, applied and fundamental research is carried out by University employees.

In 2022 Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University became the official provider of events of the Continuous Professional Development.

During 2022 10 scientific and practical forums with international participation were held on the basis of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University.

International cooperation.

Considerable attention is paid to providing university employees with information about international grants and scientific forums, internships of university scientists, as well as cooperation of the medical university with foreign organizations, universities, associations.

 Sufficient activity was carried out in the field of cross-border cooperation. A number of agreements have been concluded for international, cross-border and Euroregional cooperation. University scientists are active participants in 117 international multicenter randomized studies. Scientific and pedagogical workers of IFNMU are members of 83 international organizations.

The university successfully launched a scientific and methodical conference with international participation "Development of best practices in training of PhD".
