Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University and Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University  are coordinators of the project “Radiation Safety: European-Ukrainian Approach”, number 101127143 — RISE-UP — ERASMUS-JMO-2023-HEI-TCH-RSCH. Project implementation period: September 01, 2023 – August 31, 2026.

 The goal of the project is to build a platform (theoretical course, practical classes, informational website) that would combine information, educational, and regulatory components that contribute to the formation of an objective and justified positive civil position in matters related to the use of nuclear energy and sources of ionizing radiation in terms of the need to comply with specific security measures and regulations that will allow their efficient and safe use. The main target group of the project are students of IFNMU and PNU (Ukraine) and AGH UST (Poland), regardless of the specialisation (technical, medical or public).

The objectives of the project are: to promote EU policy in physical and technical, medical and biological, legal spheres on the expediency of using "green" nuclear energy in the current geopolitical environment; improving the quality of professional training with an emphasis on the importance of developing systemic multidisciplinary competences in the field of radiation safety according to EU standards; theoretical and practical training of students and stakeholders on radiation safety; promoting the concept of lifelong learning through free access to e-courses on radiation safety through social networks and the project website.
